Based on its many years of experience with the design of aluminium booms, Klaas ventured the first step towards firefighting technology in the year 2000. Firstly working with the company, Iveco Magirus, which was looking for a partner to develop a new height rescue and extinguishing unit for fire engines, then later with the design of its own multifunctional vehicle. The AluFiver is now used worldwide to fight fires quickly and to rescue people.
